THE PURPOSE

You get out of bed,its a fine Sunday morning..before you know it,an early morning viral state of consciousness takes you into retrospect and bounces thoughts back and forth like a traveller in a worm-hole. You love it with the content state in life as nothing seems out of place but the fact is this: the relationships in your life rust the armour of eccentricity that nature bestows upon all of us.
Not that, its a quality we kings of our lives are too proud of,we want love of relationships to come to us,so we provide the psyche with the murky water of likeability and let the other close ones brood .And through all of this, our respect for the sanctity of that relationship(all kinds and not only pup love) takes place of the eccentricity of thyself.
The psyche travels further...of all the workaholic nights and relationships of hope, you travel back into the vacuum of rusted eccentricity which is eventually only as strong as your hormones...and you are lost in the hope of finding the Purpose..The thinking man statue, the self-help books, the religion within..its all chaos until you stoke the passions that childhood hours bestowed upon you..carnal pleasures become pointless and miniscule to your self now..and you begin the nine-month journey in the womb of nature, nurturing the self, finding beauty in actions and words...sliding through the wormhole now till the fine moment where eccentricity and wisdom have a titan clash and you start over again. This till you find the PURPOSE of your existence and a companion to understand and value it.So you go back to nature,Preserve. And till you do not find that equilibrium...well...Eat .Pray .Love, earthlings!

The history and progress of Muslim-Jew relations!

Last night I received a mail from a close Muslim friend depicting the atrcoties by ISRAEL on people sharing Muslim values in Palestine and if I would've been a Muslim,it would make blood burst out of my veins!!(though I grieved it as a human-being.)But then I realised the feeling was of a "What can be done" kind spontaneously instead of a layman aggressive oneand that's what foreign diplomatic interaction is all about.
Moving on,I start briefly with the history of Jews from the 12 tribes to their settlement, what we call Israel today.Throughout their journey they have suffered torture and affliction time and again, most recently by Hitler-led Nazis.During Roman empire, they were protected by kings because of their good services and partly because Catholics' religion won't let christians lend money and hence they emerged as prominent money-lenders though virtually as slaves to the Christian kings.
Church's influence on Roman empire made them follow "Convert or die"policy.Large-scale displacements under different empires and massacres have reduced them to a paltry 12-13 million worldwide!!After Muhammad's demise in 7th Century AD, they worked under Muslims in the middle-east and were happy enough with their respectable servility rather than Church's oppression. This has been described as "Golden Period" for Jews!
But the Golden Period was just a flash of light as Hitler started Shoah against this kind!!Millions of Jews were killed in Poland,Europe and North Africa. It was high time they got a land of their own(and the sacred land) but the Muslims won't give up an inch of Palestine(as we love Kashmir).UN intervened(under the influence of the Americans and the Bristish) and in 1948 Jewish state within then-present Palestinian land was formed and many Arab-Israel wars have been fought since then.
Israel has been constantly provided diplomatic and military aid by U.S.
Truly,I think this conflict will never be resolved unless U.S. intervenes because only U.S. has maintained that level of comfort with this panick-stricken over-aggresive state who's acting like a kid with a knife with all its resources and at a wrong time !!Leadership change in both U.S. and Israel has shown a new ray of hope
Israel has to stop building permanent settlements on the disputed land and bombarding innocent citizens is never going to make them any less hated leave along have cordial relations with their neighbors.Islamic countries have to come together(Saudi-Arabia and U.A.E.) not to wage a war or a holy war but for a diplomatic dialogue along with the U.S.(which has to stop pampering Israel) Lets remember Hatred begets hatred begets hatred!!

Of Madmen,Honest diplomats and Spoilsport politicians!!

A few months back I read an article by Vir sanghvi and it was a fact that resonated with my thoughts about how does Pakistan Govt. gets away with the rocket firings, the terror business, the 26/11s and all of that matter, after being clearly evident that it is the epicentre if not the sole conspirator in all of this.
Here's how all of it works. The mad man theory was something that Americans used against the Soviets. They spread the word that US President Reagan was a madman,a drinker who listened to no one. This sparked a speculation that he would press the red button(famous nuclear weapon launch symbol in the office of US President!!) on a hiccup. The Soviet people went berserk eventually as the fear sunk deeper.A mad man sitting on of a stockpile of nukes-It would make anyone sweat in their shirts to put it soberly..
Pakistani huqmaraan has perfected this Mad man theory.
Next time any regular activities from Pakistan take place, try to dig deep into who is answerable from the Pakistani owl pack, the Parliamentarians that is!!Bet you'll get lost in PoK.
Zardari says, the military is not in our control(as the history has seen),Military says ISI which is hostile and works as an independent entity has to curb terrorist activities(the sympathy being the sporadic blasts in Pakistan), ISI won't come out to address anyone and the void is left open.
The current hulabaloo over none of the 11 Pakistani cricket players not being picked up by any of the IPL clubs instigated a smile and made me think about Vir's point.
Now,the ball is in India's court as conspiracy or not,the madmen in Pakistan have become dam(ned)men as they have no one to blame for this. Not the Politicians,Not the Sports ministry, forget the corporates if it triggered a bleep.India needs such diplomacy to deal with Pakistan.India's Foreign Politics has to evolve and shun Gandhigiri and adopt this very valid principle. Because when statesmen become madmen, there should always be a Plan B especially when you have a country like India at stake.

What is Love???

So..what really is love...1. It's an energy that binds all of mankind together in ways more complex than what meets the eye...like bee has love for honey, fly for flame, brain for knowledge, psyche for good music, female for her sibling,a male pengiun's perseverance..holding its egg at -70degs for several months!!...It's a passion that has governed all of us throughout our lives and yet we tend to ignore it through the narrow yet defining intricacies of ourSelves..searching for scapegoats to bounce out of a covalent bond with relative ease..not thinking of the IMPACT the decisions may cause to other beings...2. It is more or less an involuntary reflex that God has endowed upon all of living kind to understand the very basics and principles of life .. a feeling that breaks all barriers of human thinking which tend to take us in different directions.. Ambitious as every living being is made to be with differing grades of coloration...and by that I mean layers of complexity....biological and emotional...which define us as unique beings, as a species and individually..for ex. a human female won't eat its child out of hunger but a Tigress does...beacuse of the aggresive nature and the overpowering urge to live..and there lies the difference that has governed living kind for ages...the truth is...Love is a passion..and truly, its easier to be commited when you're passionate..We humans are unique in the sense that we have a balance...not the ecological one...(which is quite twisted case in our kind)...but a balance of mind and heart...of emotions and ambitions..of truth and farce...and what 's beautiful is that we have the tendency to choose...that most other species on this planet do not...because they are just part of an ecological system and "Survival, Sustenance and Reproduction" are the only strings that hold their love by virtue of nature...
Now,where does all this lead to..I mean one would say its easy to have thoughts and jotting them down...but Love means real pain, real sacrifice and real patience...and words may be set of alphabets that can alleviate the opposite but not enough to fill the vacuum of reality...but the truth is that is what defines you as an individual and tests you as an emotional human being..Patience is the key to any succesful relation and of giving the other person more importance than everything else that matters..of rising above petty fights and differences and undrestanding that what matters the most is the other person and not the juices and chemicals that lead us to the differences...once this is imbibed..Love can cross any barriers, any distractions and any test of time:)

Confessions of a Rookie Roadie---- Vol 1

After quitting my previous job and a build-up of energy that had started bubbling under the psyche,I needed to get out of the system...It wasn't the inner urge to explore this time but the newly found one...I wanted to test and henceforth, stretch my limits as to how much I could tolerate my own SELF in the harshest of conditions when conscience tends to melt away and the aggresive alter ego takes over...If you control yourself in such circumstances, you can control a lot of your energies and guide them..It's like testing your ideals in trying circumstances..only the conditions are uncontrolled when you're out in the wild...

We started from Bangalore at dusk hours to take leverage of the cool weather...Energetic and seeking adventure as we disembarked on the 600+ km Rameshwaram journey, things seemed to be on the right track until it started raining plus a 20 km long jam on a pitch-black night...It was a sign of what was to come...After the serpentine moves through the traffic jam,we upped the ante.. and as the rain gods transformed light rain to heavy downpour,we kept moving on the dark road as the water tricked down our helmets (and we had no option but to gulp it)... those lights were the only things left in the whole world....surprisingly it rained for 150- 180 kms...Totally drenched in rain one of the mates hit the wall..he had no jacket so we made it out of a gunny bag!! and moved on group-courage..then it was open road, wind and raw sceneries...

One thing is for sure that if you're not someone with a soft corner for hard-core biking, you're not someone who should consider road trips...coz' as the bums get numb(:P) and continuous bumping mixes the bile juices in your belly giving a regurgitatory feeling, the chemical effects are definitely going to sabotage your emboldened stance...

Delhi 6 :Another feather in masakali 's cap...

Contemporary cinema has always been a tale of stereotype love stories or junk comedy driven solely by male/female actor's charm. This is not an overnight shift but a phased change from the content or moral-driven cinema of the previous times when films like Prahaar,Bavarchi and even comedies like Golmaal(Hrishikesh Mukherjee) used to be socially driven dramas unlike the fast food movies of coeval times.
Its quite difficult these days to get away from the fact that comedies have abruptly brought even the serious actors(like Akshay Kumar) to a whole new level(mostly southwards).Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has always proven to be someone who taps the today's young guns' energy with a little something (and that comedy stuff) for the aam aadmi. It all started with Rang De Basanti, which had a social message amalgamated into its secularly-knit body and had the sensible/practical comedy while preventing it from digressing into a categorical one....Everything about the cast was energetic and so was the script..The Delhi-born director continues with his mindframe of social fabric and beautifully blends the facts and feelings in characters and dialogs with the content-driven yet melodious and amazingly energetic music(again by A.R. Rahman)...Delhi 6 is the continuation of that built-up trust of RDB with the audience which would have otherwise caused some sort of outrage because of the language used or the visibly Hindu-mythology dominance in the film...But in the end you get a strong feeling of oneness, of togetherness and an entertaining movie..hats off for bringing pragmatism to an exaggeration based industry...

INDIA, the WORLD and Mr. OBAMA

Ok...I admit..my comments in the previous blog came from a frustrated common INDIAN ..but that's the power of democracy... Instead if I had blended it with a long forgotten but valid principle of UNIVERSALITY and political olive oil...the collage would've been different..
Let me start by praising Mrs. Gandhi, Manmohan Singh and their team..on the way they've succesfully used the International pressure build-up on Pakistani huqmaran to yeild and seal the LeT accounts by a UN Ban on Jamat-ud-Dawah...2008 year end was a lucky time for a leader who promised change,ECONOMIC Recession being the wand, and also for the Congress leadership which leapt forward in a number of ways.Nuclear deal which saw the Congress play its part in sneaking through the Massive Nuclear leap under the NPT carpet....Now India has been assured with massive civilian trade of Nuclear energy...Big issue politically and for our energy needs...Not too big if you see the Chinese stand as an OUTWARDLY BOLD and ECONOMIC GUN OF ASIA on its own feet(..hats off for the Chinese though..indegenously meeting the policy and planning needs of their country) like the planned hydro power jump by the Chinese almost tripled their production inching it close to its energy requirements over the previous years..this being quite difficult in a democracy with aggresively outward outfits and leaders like Mamta Banerjee(TATA Project fallout), Bajrang Dal and VHP activists ( The bullshit Religion card)....But whatever the case be..the SONIA - MANMOHAN duo has politically and economically emboldened the face of INDIA SHINING...AT LEAST FOR THE MIDDLE CLASS THAT IS...(AGRICULTURAL BAILOUTS apart)....
NUCLEAR DEAL polished INDIA's image as Manmohan Singh met World leaders
(The Republican - Bush Administration playing a huge role in it) and that surely played a BIG role in cogent INDIAN exposure of LeT and the events that followed...The BIG question is..With the incoming Democrat OBAMA Administration promising change..should it be INDIA SMILING or shedding a tear or two...Obama seems to be a well read, politically sound and an immensly popular leader...With the exodus of Bush and the mess OBAMA is left to clean..it is for sure that Republicans will co-operate with INDIA..at least on the terrorist infrastructure that Pakistan has built and fed over the years..
With the first decision coming as a political whiplash to Pak administration..cutting down the funding part(may be hinting towards the approval of alleged links between the huqumat and the fidayeen outfits..which India has been reciting over the years, quite belligerently in recent times)
It is a strange world which bans LeT and turns a blind eye to Israel's legal masacre of 1000s in Gaza...something which we forget that we are members of a universal family (Principle of Universality). But that's the way the US-centered politics has worked over the years. The difference being the approval of a leader who promises change and who has the power to encourage a recession-dispirited world...

Time for an All out Offensive

You know what was easy earlier...it was easy to look at the sky and guess it will rain this evening...But its easier these days to guess while lukin at the calender or the calm in the country that bombs and bullets probably are on there way...
The thing that is clear from the plethora of attacks this year and before is that these people won't stop until India goes for the full...There couldn't be a better time to react forcefully when the world community is on our side...and even if it is not..INDIA must show some guts to shed its image of a frightened and politically futile state..
One thing is for sure, the incidents have exposed the face of Ruling Indian leadership..Manmohan Singh...weakest and sheepiest Prie Minister EVER...fearful to face the camera..give out response to the common man..MARK MY WORDS...It is he who should quit, which he will not do because of his career prospects with Sonia Gandhi. If Mr. Barack Obama can feel the heat half way round the world, then INDIA is at the core..As he said INDIA has the right to go for an offensive...and so it does...But for the lacklustre shows and all party meetings by MANMOHAN...what does he expect to show us...That he is working???Come on Mr. Prime Minister don't mess the social fabric of INDIA...At least Mr Vajpayee had the guts to for Operation Parakram

Got sumthin' to brag about....?

About a month back, I was just roaming around on the streets of Hyderabad when I saw some tricolors lying on the street...collected them and put 'em in my bag...standing by was a group of 2 -3 youngsters giggling...I asked to myself...was that the COMMON MAN laughing...I don't know but I just hoped my responsible actions acted positively on them....now that's something to brag about..Moving on....
What really bothers me a great deal these days is the ever increasing violence in our country be it Malegaon,Assam, Gujarat and even Delhi! and the frequency of it has been astounding..and what bothers me even more is lukewarm response of the leadership at the highest level to this fiasco...and the accusation of unworthy saints like Pragya,VHP leaders, senior army personnel(Malegaon blasts) and now the tacit political approval of the same by BJP leaders is like adding insult to injury and leaves us with only one screaming question...what in GOD'S NAME are these people doing.???..Planting bombs to kill innocent INDIAN civilians and how does camera-shy MANMOHAN Singh or sweaty palms SHIVRAJ Patil respond to this...setting up meetings to give a set of guidelines for every situation or issuing regret statements just in time, which they can brag about during elections!!!...One thing I would like to clarify after mentioning Prime Minister's name is that he's not totally at fault because most of the serial blasts had been planned out of Pakistan's frustration over INDIA's makeover at the world level which(PAKISTAN) by-the-way is out of ideas how to deal with the imploding extremist organisations (which it has fed and incubated over the years), of course, because of its war on terror with the US. BUT it does point out at serious Intelligence lapse ..Sitting in the bus I got this vague idea of how easy it had become to gerrymander this secular country on the very grounds which differentiate us from PAKISTAN(and because of which SHEIKH ABDULLAH,the charismatic Kashmiri leader wanted JAMMU & KASHMIR to be a part of INDIA)...and if you ponder over it for a while,I bet you and I won't differ..but as I discussed earlier in my " INDIA: A SECULAR STATE" blog, the reasons are not hard to find...WHAT WE NEED IS CHANGE...as US PRESIDENT BARACK H. OBAMA rightly pointed out to and won ...Its not that we don't know the reasons...the real fact is that we are the common man and the common man is gullible...he won't go beyond what can be seen and when he does CORRUPTION goes down(Price Waterhouse Coopers - due to Right to Information Act ).BUT the CHANGE in mentality, in sentiments,in education and all ways in which it can be...is to inspire the common man and it always took a leader to inspire which unfortunately are extremely numbered in today's times...Leaders like BARACK OBAMA have that power..these are charismatic leaders like YASSER ARAFAT, DALAI LAMA,MAHATMA GANDHI...VLADIMIR PUTIN,HUGO CHAVEZ...if you are searching for fresh examples...now that would be something to brag about...not the figures of how many muslims slain and the numbers in response......Well educated/well read LEADERS and NOT puppets are a must...Leaders with positive energy can change a lot as we have seen in the past and "history always teaches us,it is we who never learn from it"...ALSO, I would love to see the INDIAN MEDIA come up with some positive picture and not just the grim ones so that common man gets cloyed with NATIONALISM AND SECULARISM and start taking PRIDE in being INDIAN.

I've walked the distance, I paid my dues and

tried to have a go at what I thought I knew was real, heldno appeal

I've been to places, I've seen the tidings,

I bought a book of rules for every coin that I could steal

And so I came to gaze upon the stars, when they were yet unborn

And consequently, tear at my old scars, and the mask I had outworn

So when I'm crying alone

Yeah, when I'm cold as a dying stone

Grow me a garden of roses

Paint me the colors of sky and rain

Teach me to speak with their voices

Show me the way and I'll try again

I've heard the rumors, started fires, I sowed a sordid lot of

plays for keeps for what I need, behold

the demons that I freed

I've tried my best at wearing the hard hat,

but healing doesn't seem to happen when you hide away theseed

And so I came across the medicine man, and he showed me what I'd forlorn

For if I'm stayed it happens by my own hand,

and my own voice full of scorn

So when I'm crying alone

Yeah, when I'm cold as a dying stone

Grow me a garden of roses

Paint me the colors of sky and rain

Teach me to speak with their voices

Show me the way and I'll try again

Without you I'm nothing at all

And life has the face of a morbid game

With you nothing seems impossible

It all seems to fit the frame

So when I'm crying alone

Yeah, when I'm cold as a dying stone

Grow me a garden of roses

Paint me the colors of sky and rain

Teach me to speak with their voices

Show me the way and I'll try again

A New World Order?

There's been a lot of talk about the recession of U.S. economy of late...and that of a new Political scenario worldwide...To what extent do the two hold their ground in reality is debatable but that it is happening...is not.A weakening U.S. dollar and strengthening of other currencies pegged against it is seen, as the garangutan consumer faces challenges from across the globe...globalisation and hence cheaper and economical means being the reason...Alongside stands its Sub-Prime mortgage crisis which potentially broke down bull's back in all economies of scale..an example is the engulfment of Bears Stearns by JP Morgan Chase...former being a strong player and a strong contender in good times sold at a meagre 240 mn$...General Motors which showed more profits than Exxon, the oil major, in the 80's(!) suffered huge monetary blows and lost the no. 1 spot to Japanese major Toyota recently...Moving Eastwards the Euro is Strong but they face a major energy crisis and who's come to the rescue??the former Communists, Russia of course....With huge Gas reserves and a promising gas pipeline linking Europe...no guesses over who's going to call the shots in future...and the Russians are getting active again, politically, more importantly..threatening U.S. of recognising Ossetia and another state if Kosovo meets Western acceptance and also gave huge blows to US after talk of setting up missile set ups on the backdoor of the emerging mammoth...and the Roulbe's growing strong too....leave INDIA out and add the dragon to the scenario and you get the new big picture...Russia and China setting up SCO(Shanghai Cooperation Organisation) and the Russia centric CSTO(tends to be NATO of the east with time)...With a booming Economy and an active political set up (minus the collision course stubbornness of the US), China has the potential to make it to the top..Russia has evrything already, thanks to Putin and his successor Medvedev...having said that, the Europeans are now struggling on 2 weak legs -- one of energy crisis and the other of breaking up of new countries (non- togetherness, as one can put it) and is slowly standing up to it...Africa stands in its AIDS, crime, civil war and poverty driven BUT energy rich resources(luring US and China etc. as future suppliers, with latter having better stands ,politically)...But my take would be...don't count the Americans out ...they still have hidden cards in the form of Fed Bank's control of Dollar and a strong CIA...just a matter of an year when the govt. changes...so may the political see-saw...but amidst all this speculation...one thing's for sure...US economy is much weaker than it was a decade or two ago...and the east is now stronger than ever before..and there's a shift in all senses( power, economic, political etc.)..and the shift is VISIBLE...so don't shake ur head if trading starts in Euro but the Russians rule the roost (or in Rouble itself!)..or the Chinese dictate the east by their financial muscle and low tone voice...Wait and watch .....Phoenix is back from ashes...

Pakistan's Politics: Indelible scar on the face of Democracy

Showing in a Political Theatre in your neighboring country , the decelerating political scenario that threatens to recede the recuperating country and fetter it back, tightlly but in veil, into abyss of Army rule, yet again. The Pakistan aawam never saw a stable democracy and its politics has been a smorgasboard of Martial laws,Legal Framework Orders,Referndums & Constitutional amendments to vest the interests of opportunistic Leaders.Looking back in time its politics woefully smugs juggling of Constitution & the Judiciary with force.

Malik Feroz Khan Noon, the last in the line of Prime Ministers under the first President Iskander Mirza & leader of the Republican group in the National Assembly, came to power by forging an alliance with five different political groups, Awami League, National Awami Party, Krishak Sramik Party, National Congress and the Scheduled Caste Federation. The Noon Cabinet was fortunate to have the support of the Bengali and Punjabi group of politicians, reaching an accord between them for the first time.

President Iskander Mirza was distressed by the alliance of Suhrawardy(Awami League) and Noon. He not only felt a serious threat to his office but also perceived that he had lost his grip over the politicians. At midnight between October 7 and 8, 1958, the President of Pakistan abrogated the Constitution and imposed Martial Law(under General Ayub Khan) ,bringing an end to the term of Noon, which lasted for less than a year.Events after that saw General Yahya Khan who on March 29, 1970, through an Ordinance, presented an interim Constitution, the Legal Framework Order. After stepping down of Ayub Khan,Army Chief Yahya Khan held Pakistan's first elections in December 1970.

The Awami League, under Sheikh Mujib-ur-Rahman, swept 160/162 seats allocated to East Pakistan. However, the party failed to get even a single seat from any province of the Western Wing while Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's Pakistan Peoples Party emerged as the single largest party from Punjab and Sindh and managed to win 81 National Assembly seats, all from the Western wing. Both of them failed to reach an agreement regarding Head of State and use of army & paramilitary forces in East Pakistan led to a lost War with India in winter of 1971 and capturing of 90,000 soldiers(followed by The Simla Agreement,1972). Z.A.Bhutto became the first Democratically elected Prime minister.Coming years saw the rise of General Zia-ul-Haq(who allegedy got Z.A. Bhutto hanged). His death in 1988 lead to a pardigm shift to Democracy under Pakistan's first Woman leader Benzir Bhutto('88,'93) & a see-saw of power with Nawaz Sharif('90,'97)followed.Nawaz Sharif's 2nd tenure emboldened Pakistan's stand as a Nuclear power in May,1998. It was under the leadership of these two that the Terrorist acts against India were given Green signal.

After declaration of emergency, the day Pakistan carried out nuclear tests,Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif proposed amendments to The Constitution. The 15th Amendment allegedly made him more Powerful which led to his confrotation with Military following the resignation of General Jehangir Karamat on October 7, 1998 who was replaced by General Pervez Musharraf. The Kargil Operation further intensified the already weathered relations between the two which ultimately led to a bloodless coup by General Pervez Musharraf on October 12, 1999 and what followed is anything but a Democratic process. In June 2001, the Kamal Ataturk 's follower took charge of Pakistan officially becoming the President on June 20, 2001.Post 9/11 saw his rise as an avid fighter against the so called WAR ON TERROR on the International scenario. In order to legitimize and legalize his rule, General Pervez Busharraf held a referendum on April 30, 2002 thereby elected as President of Pakistan for duration of five years in agreement with MMA(Muttahida-Majlis-e-Amal) & avoided the question of leaving the Army uniform by Dec,2004 , time & again (as under the agreement).LFO, 2002 empowered the President to sack the prime minister, dissolve parliament and also recognize him as both head of the army and head of the state.Musharraf got the vote of confidence from both the Parliament & Four Provincial assemblies Musharraf got the right to hold office till 2007 .

Now, his two terms are over and quite thoughtfully under the pressuire from its "tight" Western ally (as Bush puts it) has agreed to take his Uniform off.Now the fact is that B(Musharraf minus uniform can contest 2 more terms( as a civilian) in the proposed 1st week of January.

The recall of Benazir Bhutto & formation of National Reconciliation Alliance(NRO) made Pakistani aawam scratch there heads in earlier one or 2 months with PPP leader Bhutto giving hints of a sophomoric agreement & Musharraf's plans of dropping all charges against her but that surely has evaporated.Recall of Nawaz Sharif by Justice Iftikaar Choudhary was the last nail in Musharraf's coffin(declaring his deportation as contempt of court) and sent him mounting off to declare EMERGENCY (or Martial Law,whatever it may be).It will be interesting to see what follows as Musharraf continues to hold the offices of Chief of Army Staff, and Chief of the Staff Committee.

Being an avid reader, Musharraf is well versed in Military History, his favorite subject but I guess he will stay long enough in Pakistan's politics to change it for good.

MY INDIA!!!!

INDIA -- A Secular State?

In this section I will address issues which may be contentious and our dormant sub-conscious asks us daily but we tend to ignore them(I do not intend to hurt public sentiments in any ways)

Is INDIA really secular??ask urself!

What is meaning of secular--"not subject to or bound by religious rule" as OED says. Now read between the words. Not subject or bound????.Where does MY INDIA stand on such a rostrum?Where is MY INDIA heading this forth from this precarious situation??
I see blasts once a week..in different and surprisingly ...even in dormant STATES

Lets go in retrospect,at times when there was one INDIA and no modern day dirty politics was there. How did our ancestors live together in such cultural diversity??A politician or a fundamentalist would argue "Divisions in the society has been prevalent since times immemorial "
statement is correct and straight...But let me put a story in front of you...
Once a person who was penchant towards weed ...sent a letter to a saint addressing
"Dear Sir,
Hello,I want to ask you a basic question.WHY DID GOD CREATE WEED & BOOZE If HE WANTED ALL HIS PEOPLE TO BE SACRED AND FREE OF BAD HABITS?"

pretty simple and straight question and both you and me would pander to it and endorse it whole-heartdly because we want to drink and do smack...a proclivity because of Media hype and natural inclination to try new things I suppose...

THE ANSWER FROM SAINT " YOU FOOL, GOD HAS CREATED FLOWERS AND BEES,GRAIN AND MILLIONS OF FRUITS,VEGETABLES,SWEETS...EVER THOUGHT OF THAT..YOUR MIND HAS BEEN TAINTED BY YOUR FILTHY DESIRES..THATS WHY YOU CAN'T SEE THE EVIDENT GOOD AND FOCUS ON EVIL FORCES "
Truly fits in the current situation...like LOCK & KEY....
I vaguely remember words from THE DA VINCI CODE MOVIE "The mind sees what it wants to see".Herein lies the problem and the solution.
Now this Mr. Politician or Fundamentalist has one problem..he doesn't have job..but he's good at influencing people..So what he does is he makes a list....

A) WHICH COMMUNITY IS MINOR AND WHICH IS MAJOR??
B) How many people are in the total number whose MIND CAN SEE WHAT I WANT THEM TO....for my own benefit ..of course(HOT TOPIC IN PARTY MEETINGS)

C) How many people are there who were hurt physically, emotionally or in monetary sense by earlier such incidents which I am going to provoke?

The list is ready...and now these people implement action plans with full vigor by either waiting for such contentious issues to heat up or smarter one like ADVANI would create such situations by delivering provocative statements trenchantly packed to spark public sentiments of either communities(whicheve direction is beneficial).Active people know the facts and figures, the motive behind two-sided statements but the passive ones pander to it & are drawn by pluralistic forces to conspire in such acts against humanity.
Politics always had & will continue to have an active role to play in such incidents(be it in Punjab or in case of Ram mandir/Babri masjid,Godhra/Gujarat) as their sole aim is to get POWER & a GOOD JOB which is difficult to get through hard-work.Thus they gerrymander human thoughts & mind for their own benefit, leave the society and the common man in sorry state unless it helps them in anyways.Otherwise NO COMMENTS,Party is seriously considering what to do etc...etc...
At the end of it all,we'll have to ponder over seriously(as we have to carry forward this mindset to our future generations) that what is more important...Religion or Humanity..One must not challenge religion as it gives you great strength but it too preaches HUMANITY as the one & only solution..I think the latter should get more preference as to dilute contamination from a solution you need to mix the desired solution (secular society) with a suitable buffer(of humanity) to dilute the contamination(fundamentalist, neocon & pluralistic forces) so that it becomes negligible.(I would be stupid to say that old wounds should not hurt or they do not...but learning from accidents only can make you safe in future...am I wrong???)Only then a SECULAR state will emerge which will need proper care and thoughtful direction from time-to-time or else "all things are heading towards entropy"

Outpost of TYRANNY -- INTERNATIONAL POLITICS

BEHOLD!!the terrorist state of the world is sticking its ugly head out again.Since times immemorial US sponsored terrorist organisation C.I.A.has been hiring culprits or more appropriatly hard-core international terrorists which recently got the name of WAR AGAINST TERROR.
OKK..another opinionated guy who hates U.S....but check the facts..from where should i start...ok

FACT NUMBER 1
U.S Fedral court acquitted Luis Posada Carriles, an international terrorist who plotted the 1976 mid-air bombing of a Cuban jetliner that killed all aboard and made many life threatning attempts on life of Fidel Castro(on the orders of his C.I.A. bosses) was freed earlier this year..of course not without the White House conspiring in it(he crossed from MEXICO to U.S. illegally and was caught) and guess on what charges he was deported for trial..IMMIGRATION FRAUD...

FACT NUMBER 2

US war on IRAQ was based on so-called U.S.intelligence reports that it had WMD.

mmm...hmmm...even after the nuclear watchdog IAEA gave clean chit to IRAQ that it had stopped all such plans after Mr. Saddam Hussein allowed them to visit all such facilities..Bush won't budge from his stand..and based on reports of General Petraus(same dude who handles it now and gave a report that civilian and military deaths have fallen and IRAQ is on its way to progress). And by the way the " PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE" BUSH administration had were only boards wit arrows pointing towards a Weapons site..cool evidnce to start a war indeed.I,personally have been searching for such fotos but all I could come up with was this one on the right.
Speaking otherwise, U.S. soldiers, when quizzed by some reporters in Darfur say "Yeah,we napalm them"..by the way, napalm is a chemical weapon. And these facts are fun for me,Saddam was hanged for what u know??
Use of Chemical weapons a decade ago in an Iraqi city which killed 2000+ people
Eat this,7,50,000+ is the number of deaths caused due to U.S. attacks sinc the 1990's in that region.why not hang BUSH over it??

FACT NUMBER 3

Terrorist organisation C.I.A. recently sponsored the overturn of an Islamic Govt. in Somalia which was recuperating from 15 yr civil war wounds to give command in the hands of the same warlords which drove the U.S. forces out in the famous " Black Hawk Dawn " episode in 1993.Now, they are U.S. military favorites which proves only one thing NEVER TRUST THE U.S. GOVT.

FACT NUMBER 4

U.S. recently pinched Israel in the back to drop some bombs on Syrian territory
on grounds that the bombing site held "technology and equipment" for developing the North Korean Nuclear facility(the truth about this is not out in the open)..U.S. also endorsed the failed Israeli war on Hezbollah last year..
The reason??Syria and Hezbollah are the only two countries in the region that endorse Iran.Step was to harass the 2 govts. and follow the policy of intimidation which is Washington's thumb rule in International politics.(Revert back to FACT NUMBER 3 LINE IN CAPS)

FACT NUMBER 5

This one's my favorite.IN 2005,BUSH & Condolezza Rice (U.S. Secretary of State)with the aim to spread democracy & " Power of Freedom",prepared a list having 3 groups..

GROUP a -- INSTITUTIONS that had only now taken path to DEMOCRACY

(Georgia & Ukraine-- U.S. sponsored Orange revolution another

ulat fer)

GROUP b -- hi hi...AUTHORITARIAN LEADERS WHO COULD BE REFORMED

(PAKISTAN)--Attention all military rulers, help U.S. create its

military base in your country and win a seat in GROUP b

GROUP c -- REFORM RESISTANT STATES(OUTPOSTS OF TYRANNY)

featuring Cuba,North Korea,Iran,Belarus,Zimbabve & Burma/

Myanmar

Wonder why U.S. did not feature at the top in GROUP c !?
